Glyph Interface
Glyph Interface
There are two kinds of glyphs:
* Major, large improvements to skills
* Minor, small improvements to skills or cosmetic changes
Individuals have a number of glyph slots, based on their level:
* Level 1-14: None.
* Level 15-29: 1 Major, 1 Minor.
* Level 30-49: 2 Major, 1 Minor.
* Level 50-69: 2 Major, 2 Minor.
* Level 70-79: 2 Major, 3 Minor.
* Level 80: 3 Major, 3 Minor.
To be able to install a glyph, major or minor, you will need to stand close to a Lexicon of Power, which can be found near any Inscription trainer.
Major glyphs
Major glyphs will be effective in combat, for example adding damage over time or stun to a physical attack.[2]
Examples:
* [Glyph of Frenzied Regeneration] (Druid) - While Frenzied Regeneration is active, healing effects on you are 20% more powerful.
* [Glyph of Steady Shot] (Hunter) - Increases the damage dealt by Steady Shot by 10% when your target is afflicted with Serpent Sting.
* [Glyph of Molten Armor] (Mage) - Your Molten Armor spell grants an additional 2% critical strike chance.
Minor glyphs
Minor glyphs will give convenient or cosmetic improvements, removing the need for some spell reagents.[2] Minor glyphs are learned only through discovery, by casting Minor Inscription Research.
Examples:
* Glyph of Blessing of Might (Paladin) - Increases the duration of your Blessing of Might spell by 20 min when cast on yourself.
* Glyph of Horn of Winter (Death Knight) - Horn of Winter costs 10 less runic power.
* Glyph of Fading (Priest) - Reduces the mana cost of your Fade spell by 30%.
